Rish on People, Purpose & Padel
For Rish, padel is about far more than what happens between the glass walls.
His journey began on the tennis court, where 12 years of coaching taught him the power of sport to shape people and mindsets. After moving into full-time ministry in 2019, his path took him to Zimbabwe and Mauritius and it was there that he discovered padel.
What hooked him wasn’t just the fast-paced game. It was the energy, accessibility and sense of community that surrounded it.
Back in South Africa in 2023, Rish quickly found his place within the growing padel scene and the Fig Tree Padel community. Today, he’s focused on using content, connection and consistency to help tell the story of South Africa’s padel explosion.
From coaching tennis to ministry, discovering padel in Mauritius and watching the world’s best compete in Barcelona, Rish’s journey is one of people, purpose and a genuine passion for growing the game.
