Cape Town, 21 October 2026 – The Growthpoint SA Nationals Padel Championships 2026, South Africa’s first-ever national Padel championship, concluded on Sunday 18 October with the finals of its four Open Divisions at Padel 365’s Century City club. The Open Divisions were played from 16 to 18 October, following four Age Group Divisions on the opening weekend, 9 to 11 October.

Over three days, the open divisions delivered the standard of Padel this championship was created to showcase. The Elite fields brought together top-tier talent, and the matches that followed, from the opening rounds on Friday 16 October to the finals at Century City on Sunday 18 October, were of a high quality and spectacular to watch.

As South Africa’s first-ever national Padel championship, the tournament set out to raise the bar for the sport in the country, and the level of play across both weekends reflected just how quickly Padel is growing. It was also a championship for players of every level, from the Age Group Divisions on the opening weekend through to the Elite fields, with several players making their mark on both.

Padel 365 thanks every player who took part across both weekends, for the standard of Padel they brought and the competitive spirit they showed. Immense thanks also go to title sponsor Growthpoint and to each of the championship’s sponsors, whose support made the first National Championship possible. Finally, Padel 365 acknowledges its own staff at Century City and Richmond Park, whose hard work and effort, much of it behind the scenes, delivered both weekends.

Norbert Sasse, Group CEO of Growthpoint Properties, said: “It’s an honour and a privilege for Growthpoint to be sponsoring this event. I hope this is the beginning of a long journey… The idea behind this tournament, and Growthpoint’s sponsorship here, is to become the premier tournament on the South African Padel circuit.”
