South African padel is about to take a giant leap onto the world stage.
In 2026, Pretoria will host South Africa’s first-ever Premier Padel tournament, bringing the world’s best players to African soil and officially putting the country on the global professional padel map.
The Pretoria Premier Padel P2, scheduled for 26 July–2 August 2026, promises more than world-class competition. With a €260,000 prize purse, it will be the biggest padel tournament ever staged in Sub-Saharan Africa – and a major milestone for the rapidly growing local game.
With hundreds of thousands of players, more than 1,400 courts and a sport growing at incredible speed, the timing couldn’t be better.
For South African players, it also opens the door to new professional opportunities, while giving fans the chance to see the sport’s biggest stars competing right here at home.
Africa is getting its Premier Padel moment – and Pretoria is centre court.
